With this variant 'Vellutato', you get a cup made from 100% Arabic beans from Columbia, Brazil and Honduras. The mixture of the different beans from the 3 countries in combination with a medium-dark roast has created a fruity espresso with great fullness, delicate sweetness and a mild bitterness and acidity.

Vellutato is Italian for velvety, and that describes this espresso perfectly. Too often you see espresso blends mixed up with a some Robusta for a little extra edge and acidity, but here Gimoka has chosen to use only the milder Arabica bean.

In other words, you get a classic Italian espresso, with a mild and (velvet) soft body.
