The Z790 DDR4 platform still feels fast and responsive for gaming. Specs on mine: i7-13700K, RX 7900 XT, 16GB DDR4, and 512GB NVMe + 1TB SSD. At 1440p, Hogwarts Legacy and CS2 run smoothly on high settings. DDR4 still feels fast and I do not feel like I am missing out. 512GB NVMe + 1TB SSD keeps the system snappy for Windows and game loads. The setup steps were simple and the system was stable from day one. The case is well organised and clearly assembled with care.
I chose Z790 specifically for the upgrade path, and DDR4 to keep costs reasonable. At 1440p, Hogwarts Legacy and Elden Ring run smoothly on high settings. I am happy with the balance between speed, stability, and value.
